About CareShortlist

CareShortlist exists because choosing aged care in Australia is harder than it should be, at exactly the moment families have the least capacity for hard things.

The information families need is mostly public: every government-funded service, every Star Rating, every room price, every budget level. But it is scattered across datasets, PDFs and portals, and the services that offer to help usually do it over the phone, on their timetable, with their commercial interests out of view.

We take the official data, keep it current, put it in plain English, and turn it into something a family can actually act on: a shortlist. Online, free, and honest about how we make money; that part is in writing.

CareShortlist is Australian-built and independent. We are not owned by any aged care provider and we hold no stake in any provider we list.
