Last updated July 2026.CareShortlist ("we", "us") is committed to handling personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles. Because our service involves care needs, some information you give us is sensitive information, and we treat it that way.
What we collect
- Contact details you provide: name, email, phone.
- Shortlist details you provide: care type, location, timing, assessment status and any notes about care needs. We only collect this with your explicit consent, given at the form.
- Basic technical data: pages visited and approximate location from IP, used for site analytics.
How we use it
- To prepare and send your shortlist and respond to your request.
- With your consent, to connect you with aged care providers relevant to your request. We share the minimum needed for a provider to respond helpfully.
- If you opt in, to send occasional practical updates. Every email has an unsubscribe link and unsubscribing is immediate.
What we never do
- We never sell personal information.
- We never share care needs information with anyone except providers you have asked to be connected with.
- We never use your information for pressure marketing.
Storage and security
Information is stored on secured infrastructure. We keep it only as long as needed to provide the service or as required by law, and delete it on request.
Access, correction and complaints
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your information at any time: hello@careshortlist.com.au. If you are unsatisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).
